The Potter’s Hands: A Sermon Series based on the Prophet Jeremiah Begins August 25.
Heartache, displacement, violence, helplessness, and homesickness are an ongoing part of the human story. Our faith story invites us to deal openly and honestly about the reality of life. Our faith story helps us to remember the presence of God and hold onto hope for a better future. Over the next several weeks we will journey with the prophet Jeremiah focusing on the very familiar image of God as the Potter who can reshape and remake us into vessels of living water ready for a brighter tomorrow. Come join us as we journey with Jeremiah beginning August 25th. No matter who you are or where you are on this journey of life, there is space for you here. All are welcome in God’s house.
“No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey you are welcome here.” At First UCC this is more than a catch phrase; it’s who we are. If you are just wondering about God and want to learn more you are welcome here. It you have been a believer your whole life, you are welcome here. If you have questions, you are welcome here. If you are young or old, or somewhere in the middle, you are welcome here. If you haven’t fit in anywhere else, you are welcome here! No matter who you are, you are welcome here!
We are a bunch of seekers on a journey. We learn together and we serve together. We believe that God is love and that all persons are created in God’s own image. We are people from all walks of life with varied life experiences doing our best to live out God’s love in the world. So truly “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey you are welcome here.”
